I spent a few thousand dollars on a used rear end they found just to have them call me and tell me some parts on that read end we’re to rust to use and that they needed $900 more to by those parts. I was told it was a good rear end with a lot less mileage than what’s on my truck and that they were good parts. So they up-charged me an extra $900.
Hi Michael - We're sorry to hear you're disappointed with your repair. Unfortunately, rust on backing plates and parking hardware is going to be an issue when a vehicle is 18 years old; the used parts replacing your rear axle assembly are unfortunately also 18 years old, so they will not be clean and shiny looking. New parts were going to be an additional $2,000 on top of your original repair. In addition, we had 3 separate axles delivered to us, rejected 2 due to not meeting our standards, and serviced the 3rd extensively to confirm it was in the best possible shape for installation. This way we can insure a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty on your used parts. If you have any other thoughts on what we could have done to improve upon your repair, we would love to hear it. Give us a call at 816-842-1777. Thank you - Erin
